Having established all the threads, which come in a summary goes something like this:
The renegade ethical allegedly contacted twelve humans to undertake the journey upstream, the first of which Richard Burton, and then to Sam Clemens. Many of those summoned by the ethical travel on ships.
Burton also addressed the ship of King John and becomes the commander of its forces.
Clemens, Miller, von Richthofen, Gwenafra and many others traveling in the second boat ready to sink the first (Rexx Grandisimus) and reach the tower.
Firebrass, Gulbirra, Piscator, Bergerac and others travel on board the airship.
As mentioned in the previous posting, there was a time when unexplained resurrections ceased. The main characters thought that something had gone wrong with the tower and the ethical and its agents were equally trapped in the valley and were joining the crews of both ships and the blimp to get to the tower.
Podebrass, an alleged agent of the ethical comes into play when Frigate and the crew of the boat which travel up to the city that he directs, where Podebrass found minerals with which it has built a small civilization. Frigate convinces him to build an airship to travel upriver, but Podebrass betrays them and starts his journey without them, who stay behind are forced to build a rudimentary globe in undertaking the journey.
Both balloons are destroyed before the final and both crews are listed on the ship of King John.
There are some battles between the crews of ships and dirigibles, resulting in the destruction at the end of the airships and the survivors travel on ships. Before the destruction of the airship, however, the main one, led by Firebrass reach the tower and try to join it without success.
Both boats come to Virola, located near the bottom of the river and from where he was born the Church of the Second Chance. The final battle between the two ships takes place in this place, died many of the main characters.
Burton and ten among them are Joe Miller, Peter Frigate, Alice Liddell, Marcelin of Marbot, Aphra Ben and others take the only survivor of the battle boat to travel the last 30.000 km.
Make it to the tower where the final confrontation takes place with the ethical renegade, they reveal many clues about the history and the world of the river project.
