I had said before that what I captured from the first book in this series was his serious sense of humor, satire and irony. If I did not say, I say this now. And apparently the serious sense of humor improvement in deliveries, and that the third party is full of such contradictory statements that are hilarious. There was at least three times to read this third party brought me laugh really, 
I can not explain satisfactorily to those around me, so I choose to tell them they have to read these books ... unfortunately not everyone is adept at reading.
Summary
In the previous episode, Zaphod, Trillian, Ford and Arthur teleport out of the ship that will immerse themselves in the sun, and Marvin is chosen to stay on board the ship to allow their escape. Ford and Arthur are on earth, while Zaphod and Trillian are aboard the heart of gold. This book starts with Ford and Arthur in prehistory, where the former has gone for four years to explore, and Arthur is alone, until one day he decides to go crazy. It is that day that Ford chooses to return, precisely because it has detected eddies in the space-time, one of which brings up a chair in the middle of the steppe pre-historical. They must reach out and climb on to get back to his time, and so they do. Arthur feels that going crazy was the best decision, while pursuing the couch. When caught, they return to earth a few minutes before its destruction, and find Slartibartfast, whom I had known before, as this old man belongs to the planet Magrathea, which manufactured custom planets and it is there where they built the earth and where was being rebuilt in the second book. Slartibartfast eddies also been detected in space-time, and knows what should be. They should come to a party to find some things that need to save the universe.
Elsewhere in the galaxy, Zaphod is terribly depressed, same or worse than Marvin, so ends up filling the patience of Trillian who leaves the ship. Being alone, and depressed Marvin, Zaphod's voice off the computer, to avoid conversation. So do not get the signal that there are intruders on board the ship, looking for a component of the ship heart of gold.
Elsewhere Marvin pretty bored of millions of years after nearly jump in the sun. Someone saved and repaired parts of it and placing it in an artificial leg robot that over time has been damaged. Marvin saw the death of this planet, and he tells the story of a mattress called Zem living, is captured by a white robots.
Slartibartfast, Ford and Arthur teleport to a ship, with the fate of Arthur becomes lost in the teleportation, and is captured by a creature that in each of its incarnations has been killed by Arthur Dent, and seeks revenge. Escapes and comes to the party he headed, where he met Trillian. They can not locate in time the parties sought, and the party is interrupted by a white robots.
Long ago, there was a planet locked in a cloud of dust that visually isolated from the rest of the galaxy. They knew nothing that there was something in addition to their planet, they could not even see stars. One day, suddenly, a plane crashed into their world and they knew they were not alone. So in the end of a year build the technology needed to go out and destroy the galaxy. When at last could be reduced, locked inside their planet and the only way to open it was with a key that broke and parts ended up in several places: at the heart of the ship heart of gold contained a fragment, the artificial leg Marvin other Slartibartfast on earth trying to retrieve a third when Ford and Arthur rescued, an award he had won one of the attendants of the festival was one of the fragments, and so on. The point is that the robots of Krikkit, which is the name that planet, have brought together the fragments of the key and can go out again to destroy the galaxy.

Rather than comment, I think I'll just put some of the phrases that call attention to the book, hoping that the move to read the series, which is pretty funny.
